Made a short little video for fun, when I hung out with Wes.

The third installment in my series.

The Infiltration Continues...

*sigh*. Finally.
For some reason, I'm not very satisfied with the way I did this one. I originally planned on filming an opening sequence, but that fell through.

This is the original fb message I sent with the idea.
"are you guys busy tomorrow afternoon to film?
so I've got a short script. don't worry thu, there's little to no dialogue, (mostly because I can't write dialogue haha)
and the bulk of it is a chase scene.
Probably wanna film it like at the parking garage or something.

For some reason, I'm still bouncing ideas around, but
The only one that seems solid right now is, it opens with an intense chase scene, a la that big bang music video. My character is running/being chased, and it’s just super rapid quick cuts. He’s carrying an envelope or something, there’s a closeup on the ISA top secret logo. He Runs into an elevator. As the elevator doors open, you guys are outside the door, looking pissed.

My character has this “fuuuuuhh” expression. Then, panting and out of breath, he says
“Relax guys. I have 3 tickets.”

Fade out to ISA Logo, Music. etcetc"

It was very much inspired by the music video for Big Bang's "Lie". Youtube it. It's tight.


then I had so many different concepts running through my head on how to edit it, since I wanted this one to be vastly different than my first two Wong Fu vids (which were essentially, copies homages to wong fu's own tour vids.
I started to settle on a "cloverfield-esque" secret agent footage tape, but then it felt odd not having the intro montage like my other videos, so I added the trailer to the front, which kind of threw off the flow.
Also, a lot of footage is missing from other performances because I borrowed a friend's camera, which has super shitty battery life. So yeah. Parts of the footage had to be taken from Thu's digital camera. (for the parts that switch from widescreen to fullscreen.

So yeah. Could have been better. I think the trailer actually built up the hype too much. :(
Oh well.

Wong Fu Vid v.4! Coming Soon! (hopefully.)

You know when you pop a DVD in at night, with every intent to finish it, only to fall asleep 20 min later? Then you wake up in the middle of the night to the bright glow of the DVD menu and the repetitive background music playing?

Part of me loves, and hates that at the same time. I don't know how to explain it.

I think my favorite movie to fall asleep to is Wong Fu's "A Moment with You".
That background music of the acoustic guitar is so soothing, I can't help but love it.

TODAY'S THE DAY.

Hmm. This night turned out nothing like I had imagined. haha.

Well, Wong Fu Productions recently got a blogtv account, which is like a live web broadcasting thing, where you can chat with people in the videos and stuff. Since i'd subscribed, and checked the option for sms, they texted me as soon as they went online, and wow...

2 hours of random, uncensored chat with Phil, Wes, and Ted, and some unusual characters. But then what do you expect at 2am.

And I apparently met a "youtube celebrity" by the name of NinjaDrops. I'm very not in the know with this stuff, so I hope he's not too offended. It was funny, he asked if I was an "internet person", and I kept getting confused by his wording. I guess he assumed I was another internet, youtube personality, because I knew Wes.

David Choi, another youtube celeb dropped by in the chat too. Good stuff.

I'm so excited for ISA. I want this next video to be totally different, and a brand new format. I have so many ideas bouncing in my head. If only the tickets would go on sale. bah.


oh, they recorded part of the chat. so if you're bored, you can check it out. it gets kind of weird. haha. It's limited to 10 minutes, out of the whole 2 and 1/2 hours, but yeah.
BTW, some parts may or may not be appropriate for children. hahahha.

erik tried writing
his essay due today
but nothing was yielded
but procrastination and dismay

now nearly 4am
deadline on his tail
he had to finish quickly
to avoid EPIC FAIL

But I still get a little star struck when I see Wong Fu. Or when Wes comments my videos.

hahaha. I'm such a dork. But man. So awesome.

The Video is FINALLY UP. Oh man. Facebook was frustrating me to no end. I uploaded it 6 times, before it would finally process. And considering each upload takes about an hour and a half, that's a lot of frustration.
